Tralasciando il "come cazzo si fà a giocare una carta del genere..."

Se l'oppo gioca [card]Decimate[/card] e io ho in gioco tre terre, un confidant, un counterbalance e una cappa, e in risposrta pesco di cappa e quando la spell si risolve non trova artefatto, cosa succede?

A) Gli altri effetti non si applicano e Decimate se ne và a donne di facili costumi? (Opzione sostenuta)

B) Decimate si risolve perché nel momento in cui l'ha castata c'erano i bersagli, anche se poi quando si risolve l'abilità di cappa la risoluzione di Decimate non trova l'artefatto? (Opzione sostenuta dal mio opponent, francese tra l'altro..)

409.1c - If the spell or ability requires any targets, the player first announces how many targets he or she will choose (if the spell or ability has a variable number of targets), then announces his or her choice of an appropriate player, object, or zone for each of those targets. A spell or ability can't be played unless the required number of legal targets are chosen for it. The same target can't be chosen multiple times for any one instance of the word "target" on the spell or ability. If the spell or ability uses the word "target" in multiple places, the same object, player, or zone can be chosen once for each instance of the word "target" (as long as it fits the targeting criteria). [CompRules 2008/10/01]
Example: If an ability reads "Tap two target creatures," then the same target can't be chosen twice; the ability requires two different legal targets. An ability that reads "Destroy target artifact and target land," however, can target the same artifact land twice because it uses the word "target" in multiple places. [CompRules 2004/10/01]

Since the word "target" appears in four places, you can choose the same permanent to for more than one of the four targets. See Rule 409.1c. [D'Angelo 2006/02/27]

Tradotto semplicemente, la magia fa tutto quello che può ai bersagli rimasti.
Quando TUTTI i bersagli sono diventati illegali, allora la magia non farà NULLA (si dice che viene neutralizzata in risoluzione o fizzla).

Una domanda.
Se l'oppo ha una terra,una creatura e un artefatto ma NON un incantesimo. Posso giocare decimate perchè cmq ha 3 bersagli legali su 4 oppure no?

No, per giocarla devi avere 4 bersagli e tutti e 4 legali.
Poi non devono necessariamente essere tutti del tuo oppo.

Non devono essere tutti in gioco quando risolve, quindi puoi targettare una tua creatura tipo [card]Sakura-Trib Elder[/card] e sacrificarla in risposta. Decimate agirà sui bersagli rimasti, purché ve ne sia almeno uno ancora valido.
