ciao a tutti. domanda veloce: giocando legacy su mws un oppo mi ha giocato [card]dread return[/card] su [card]sutured ghoul[/card] rimuovendo dal cimitero qualche creaturina e [card]tarmogoyf[/card]. la domanda è: tarmogoyf quando è nel cimitero è un semplice 0\1 o mantiene la sua p/t? i testi: Tarmogoyf 1G (2), Creature - Lhurgoyf X/1+X Tarmogoyf's power is equal to the number of card types among cards in all graveyards and its toughness is equal to that number plus 1. (The card types are artifact, creature, enchantment, instant, land, planeswalker, sorcery, and tribal.) Sutured Ghoul 4BBB (7), Creature - Zombie X/X Trample. As Sutured Ghoul comes into play, remove any number of creature cards in your graveyard from the game. Sutured Ghoul's power is equal to the total power of the removed cards and its toughness is equal to their total toughness. (A * on a card not in play is 0.) Dread Return 2BB (4), Sorcery Flashback - Sacrifice three creatures. Return target creature card from your graveyard to play. mi rispondo anche da solo: leggendo il testo di sutured ghoul si capisce che: Cita: (A * on a card not in play is 0.)
quindi tarmo dovrebbe essere uno 0\1 come sostenevo io, giusto? me lo confermate? ho sbagliato da qualche parte? |

Ask the virtual judge ha scritto: Q: In recent event coverage for the Legacy format I have seen Cephalid Breakfast decklists with Sutured Ghoul as finisher and only Tarmogoyf as a target for the Ghoul's trigger. But I can't see how this works. Shouldn't Tarmogoyf be a 0/1 creature in all zones other than in play?
A: No. Tarmogofy's ability that sets its power and toughness is a characteristic-defining ability, or CDA. This ability applies in all zones. This means that a Tarmogoyf card in a graveyard or removed from the game has the same power and toughness as one in play. This is a relatively new change to the Magic rules; it used to be that abilities like Tarmogoyf's that set power and toughness only worked when in play. This change came out this past spring. Solo fischi per te zio. |

Il cambiamento in ogni caso è piuttosto recente. L'errore di Lucio è comprensibile. @diego: ma infatti si scherza =P |

Leggo dalle Comprehensive Rules: Cita: 405.2 - Some objects have intrinsic static abilities which state that the object "has" one or more characteristic values; "is" a particular type, supertype, subtype, or color; or that one or more of its characteristics "is" or "are" a particular value. These abilities are characteristic-setting abilities. Abilities of an object that affect the characteristics of another object are not characteristic-setting abilities; neither are abilities that an object grants to itself. La mia domanda è: Com'è noto, questa regola si applica anche a forza e costituzione del [card]Tarmogoyf[/card] che è scritta nella forma */*+1, ma vale anche se nel rettangolino in basso a destra ci sono dei numeri concreti? Esempio: [card]Death's Shadow[/card]. Cita: Death's Shadow gets -X/-X, where X is your life total.
Mi pare si tratti di un'abilità statica, ma è anche "characteristic-setting ability"? A occhio direi di no, visto che dice "gets" e non "is", ma qualcuno che ne sa potrebbe confermare? Grazie. |
