le strategie forti del formato alla fine sono quelle :P La novità imho è l'Elf-Entity, dimostrazione che il mazzo è benissimo trasportabile dall'esteso al legacy.

@ James: in effetti hai ragione...mi sarei aspettato un burn in top 16 anche perchè come tipologia è un mazzo che crea sempre problemi, ma mai avrei visto un burn fare risultato in un torneo da + di 400 persone con quelle due creature!! :-u
insomma, un burn classico con anche i mogg ci può stare, ma questo no!

Il burn che ha fatto top16 è vero che è orrendo :'( ma avrà beccato match up agili evidentemente (tipo 43lands, zoo, mono-nero, eva green ecc :-* ) d'altronde è così che mazzi "quasi" for fun come burn, boros e similari fanno risultato :'| .

Cmq correvano voci prima degli standings finali, che vi fossero un sacco di bant che sfruttavano le nuove carte di alara come il Qasal e il Coatl :-? . Come mai nessuno fra i primi 16? :-(

solo perchè con mazzi come il burn, il boros, o perchè no anche il WW non si sta a pensare per mezz'ora su una SINGOLA giocata, non vuol dire che sono mazzi for fun!!anzi!
il fatto che costano poco non vuol per forza dire che siano for fun o non degni di essere portati a dei tornei....
sono solo mazzi che se giocati bene possono davvero dare delle soddisfazioni.

p.s. vorrei consigliare a chi giudica un burn un "mazzetto" di andare a vedere nel forum quante pagine sono state scitte nel suo topic...ben 20 pagine!

Quoto pienamente - anche se burn è un mazzo tra virgolette con l'autopilot non vuol dire che sia debole. Con questo non intendo dire che sia Tier1, ma dicendo che non è Tier1 non intendo dire che non possa batterne uno. Burn è molto skill intensive per quanto riguarda il deckbuilding e la scelta delle mani da tenere e di quelle da mulligare. Se burn/slight ha fatto risultato, magari il giocatore avrà anche avuto fortuna con gli abbinamenti, ma alla base sta una buona lista (ricordo a chi disprezza i Marauders che sono 1+3+1 danni, ossia 5 danni con 2 mana). I mazzi non si creano da soli: come dico sempre non è che le carte si animano e si impilano a formare un archetipo, dietro ci sta tutto il lavoro di una persona. E sia che si tratti di Burn, Boros, o del più complicato tra i combo, se una lista è ragionata merita di fare risultato.

Effettivamente gli hellspark elemental sono la carta del futuro :P Sicuramente quello ha fatto risultato perchè è un ottimo deckbuilder :-> :-D non perchè avrà sculato l'inverosimile nei pairings e nelle topdeckate :'|

sarebbe intessante conoscere il case mix (parolone!) dei deck presenti al torneo:

mi spiego meglio... su oltre 400 players in percentuale sapere quanti ant, dragonstompy, aggro, thresh, gobbi, e vari ed eventuali c'erano...

ma solo un organizzatore certosino e parecchio preparato lo potrebbe dire...
