1) Describe / Present yourself: who you are, what are you doing in your life, what are your current interests and future projects.Hi, I'm Sandreline (this is a mix of my first name Sandrine and the MTG character Ashling who is called Cendreline in French).
I live in France near Lyon, and I'm dental assistant.
2) What about your artistic background?Nothing !
I never learned to paint or draw and I studied German in the university. I'm autodidact
3) When have you started altering cards, and why?I started altering about 2 years ago. At this moment my husband managed some tournaments, my 2 sons were playing, all my friends too...so that's how I found this parallel activity.
4) What's your favorite Wizards of the Coast's artist? the most hated ( from an artistical point of view, of course )?My favorite is Rebecca Guay, she has an awesome style.
The most hated ? lol...strange question ! I don't hate any artist, so I would say Richard Kane Ferguson, cuz his styl is so...particular that I have trouble extending his artwork.
5) How do you usually realize your alterations? Which tecniques, methods, tools are you using?First I allways clean my cards with aceton. I know I could paint without doing this but for me it's easier to have a white base.
Then I think my technic is the same that each artist: acrylic paint, small brushes (0, 3/0, 5/0)
And I varnish all my cards to protect them.

7) Is it possibile to meet / invite you on public events? Will you alter cards "live" / during them?Oh yes, if you invite me, I'll be there for sure
I allready did it in France, I really like to go on the events and meet the players.
8) Are you going to accept any commitments? How much time is necessary for you to complete a requested alteration?I accept all commissions that inspire me. If I don't "feel" it, I refuse.
I refuse to copy other altered cards: I mean, if someone want a Cardkitty's or a Poxy's artwork, then he shouldn't ask Sandreline.
I don't re-paint cards I allready did if the idea came from the owner, I respect my client's ideas.
The necessary time depends on my other commissions...sometimes I'm very busy !
But I try not to keep cards more than 3 weeks.
9) Which advices would you give to anyone who is going to follow your artistic path?Training and training again ! That's the only way to get better
