Domanda:

Gioco [card]Bloodbraid Elf[/card] e risolvendo l'abilità cascade spunta fuori come prima carta utile un [card]unstable footing[/card]. posso pagare il costo di kicker di unstable footing?

Il dubbio ce l'ho perchè l'abilità kicker dice you can play an additional X "when you cast" - e non "when you play" - this spell, mentre nelle prime carte con kicker (invasion) era scritto "when you play"

Mi illuminate?

Non è chiaro perchè sulle FAQ di alara reborn leggo:

If you play a card "without paying its mana cost," you can't pay any alternative costs, such as evoke or the alternative cost provided by the morph ability. If it has X in its mana cost, X must be 0. However, you can pay optional additional costs, such as conspire, and you must still pay mandatory additional costs.

Ma sulle comprehensive rules leggo:

702.30a Kicker is a static ability that functions while the spell is on the stack. "Kicker [1]" means "You may pay an additional [2] as you cast this spell." The phrase "Kicker 1 and/or 2" means the same thing as "Kicker 1, kicker 2." Paying a spell's kicker cost(s) follows the rules for paying additional costs in rules 601.2b and 601.2e–g.

Poi invece sulla community wizards leggo:

Q: Do I have to pay any additional costs of the spell I cascade into?
A: Yes. Cascade allows you to ignore the card's mana cost, but that's only the stuff in the top right-hand corner of the card. Any other costs will have to be paid as normal.

In the case of optional additional costs, such as buyback or Kicker, you can choose not to pay the additional cost--you just won't get the extra effects they provide.

Ma quindi posso anche scegliere di pagarli, giusto?

Non sono presuntuoso, correggetemi pure quando sbagliate...

quindi la magia la "cast"i - percio' puoi pagare kicker.

Da M10 tutte le referenze al verbo "play" sono state sostituite con il verbo "cast".
I due verbi significano la stessa cosa.
Quindi ovviamente puoi scegliere di potenziare la magia girata di cascade, dovendone pagare però il costo di potenziamento stesso.
