I don't have enough time to create a working example, but I hope this is understandable enough.

Write decklists and tournament details in a program like excel or libreoffice calc is faster, easier and can be done offline. Exporting in a cvs results in a file which is very easy to parse. As we have all the data in a matrix or arrays, use them to create an insertion query it's a matter of few lines of code.

I don't know if this idea can be helpfull. I hope so! :)

:-u :-u :-u

awesome work!
it would be nice to see the number of players of the selected event in every place the selected event figures. For examplae:

main: event -> [date] [people attending]

select event: Decks from [EVENT] [date] [PEOPLE ATTENDING]

select deckbuilder: add date and people attending to the name of the tournament

select deck: I'd maybe put a line under the title saying: [NAME OF THE TOURNAMENT] [DATE] [PEOPLE ATTENDING] [PLACEMENT]

So that all relevant information are ready-to-hand.

Visual view of the deck: I was used to the previous deckcheck categorization (creature/isntants/sorceries... etc.), I think it was more tidy. Also, making the rectangle horizontal and not vertical may help to have a more immediate visual impact of the full deck, without having to scroll the page to read all the cards.

Translation: when I want to change language, I'm taken back to the main page. But if I select english, I still have the graph of the mana curve saying 11 Karten.

Anyway, really good project, don't give up! You have all our support!

Der Schrecken thanks for your hard work, there is still one issue with the website that hits apparently just teh vintage section.
when you get to the homne page and click on "Vintage (2.484 Decks)" an empty screen comes up instead than what comes up hitting on legacy area.
is this fixable ?

It's not really a bug. Extended, Block and Vintage contains only old decks at the moment. If a decks becomes old it will be changed automatically to the "archive". When you click at "Vintage" (or block or extended) u get just the current decks, but there are no one. The Vintage-part is the next one we will update with new decks, so u dont have a long time to wait for this part of the site! :)

We will do what is possible with the date and the other facts. Maybe it dosn't looks nice at all of this places, we will test it.

I like the current view, but we will test the other one. :)

I will fix the language-bug next time, thx for reporting and the ideas!

All right! :D

It's not a matter of being only nice. I thought in terms of the aim one has when he gets to deckcheck, and also in terms of advanced search function. I mean, I can go to deckcheck only to do some scouting, and I want to have ready-to-hand these informations: when did a certain tournament occur, and how many people attended to that tournament. I think it's important to know when "latest tournaments" happen (and in fact, date and people attending are visible in the home page). But I can intend to write a primer as well, so maybe I just want to know how the deck performed well in what years or period of the year, according to its appearance in many local/medium/big size events in a certain date/range. Or maybe I'm just preparing for a tournament and I want to search the database for the latest events in a determined area, and/or sort them by number of player because if I'm attending a small size event I really don't care to know if a certain deck has done well in a 170+ people tournament, but rather I'd look for smaller event in which the top8 nearly reflects the metagame; surely, I want to study lists from a certain date on, because, say, before dd mm yy a certain card was unbanned and after it's no longer banned, or after a certain date a new expansione was released and my pet deck was heavily modified to permit its inclusion, etc. I mean, these are all important information, and important information have to be redundant I think, you (you yourself, I mean) don't want to navigate through the entire site to collect data when you can have them all ready-to-hand in a single line, without having to browse the entire site to have them all.

I don't know if it's safari browser, but I see the site all on the left, with 1-2 big colums wasted on the right. maybe it's possible to center the main frame and reduce the margins, or simply reduce the partnership logo and the language selection box and widen the important part, making, again, the column more "horizontal". I think it's most common, in terms of what we are used to see on the web. Also, with the horizontal box for the deck, it's functional as I don't have to scroll down the entire page to see the preview of the cards (which gets cut if I roll over a card bane that is on the bottom of the page - and that rollover popup is great!).

I'll keep suggesting, as well as keep using the site! :D

Sry, I will answer your posts later today. I'm a bit stressed now.
Yesterday it was not the best day for dc, because I had no time. I was judging my first PTQ! :) But today I have a lot of time and we have updated a new "advanced search". In the next days a lot of updates will follow.

So cu here later :]

Hi guys,
we was the last days a bit busy, but we both passed our exames, so dont be angry with us! :P We have a lot of time in the next weeks to improve the website.
We have published the "meta overview" at our website now (just current meta of Legacy and Standard). I hope u will like it and give us feedback to improve it. I guess the potential is really, really big.
We have also updated a lot of new decks and in the next days all parts of the site will be up to date. We fixed a lot of bugs and some design mistakes.
Feedback would be nice! :)

And thank you all for the visits and using us at www.deckcheck.org! :)

Hi everybody,
i'm the TC Decks developer, the first deckcheck replacement, a friend of mine has told me about your forum and the big Eternal Community that use it.

Also in TC Decks you can see the monthly tier decks, your tops profile when you search for an specific player or in the next week in another languages, i have people working to translate the menus to Portuguese, Spanish and German, but i have nobody for italian language, do you wanna help me? Please contact me here

Don't excuse for your english, the mine is as bad as yours ;D

I'm not sure what you wanna mean, but when you're looking the list of a deck all the available information of a tournament appears in the middle-top of the screen, if you're looking a list of decks, for example all the legacy, zoo decks you only see his position at the named tournament and the date of the tournament but anything else. If you want to view the number of players of the tournament you have to click on the deck, i thought that put more information on the screen would make you get sicked XD.
